Retter brachten sie nach draußen, versuchten verzweifelt, eine Notarztwagen zu alarmieren. Doch der steckte im Gewimmel fest. Als er endlich eintraf, war die Frau tot.

Sekretärin Mori Mitchell schaffte es aus ihrem Büro nach draußen: „Ich bin gerade 45 Stockwerke nach unten gelaufen. Jetzt kann ich nicht mehr. Ich bleibe hier erst mal stehen – und schwitze.“
